8 days cover on my brothers bike??

Can anyone give me some clear advice on where and how to get 8 days insurance on my brothers bike in France.... oh and it must have pillion cover??

The situation is, my girlfriend wont go to the south of France on my RSVR.... So my brother has kindly offered the use of his Sprint ST1050 (a crackin' tourer, so he and MCN say).

The trouble is when all the insurance small print is read it turns out:
1) I can't add another bike that I don't own to my  insurance policy (Bennetts).:upset:
2) His policy wont cover a named rider to use the bike in Europe (Swiftsure).:doubt:
3) All the 1 month policies I've tried wont cover me because I don't own the bike.
4) The 1-28 day policies wont let me carry a pillion.

What the hell do I do??? and we leave in just over a week.... the missus is going to bloody kill me if I don't get this sorted!

Ant help is very much appreciated

You may have to hire one but will cost £1,000 deposit and about £500 for 8 days,or buy this,

and get its oils/filters done.

Or job lot,

You say that you cannot add this bike to your own policy beacuse you do not own it.  Well why not own it?  You do not have to be the registered keeper of a motorcycle to be the legal owner.  I am sure you can figure the rest out.

You would think that these are all good suggestions... however, if I was to put the bike on my insurance as a second bike, it would be fraudulent as the bike is already on my brothers policy.

And the likes of daysure will not cover the carriage of a pillion.

Good try though... so if anyone knows of any specialist insurers that can sort out a bespoke package then please let me know.

It's not fraud for both you and your brother to have a policy on the same bike, it IS fraud for you to both make a claim on different policies tho.
