All-new Triumph Daytona 675 spotted near factory

This is the all-new Triumph Daytona 675 which was spotted by an MCN reader testing on the roads near Triumph's Hinckley factory. The spy shots, taken on a mobile phone, show a comprehensively overhauled version of the inline three-cylinder 675cc supersport bike with - judging by the angles visible - almost every part new or heavily modified. The underseat exhaust has been...

Looks like Triumph are trying to keep up with the Japs by taking a good looking sorted bike and making it butt ugly.

Pity they didn't take the 800 triple and make a range of sports and tourer models. Just imagine how bloody brilliant that would be. People are generally getting taller (as well as larger) so it's time for manufacturers to recognise this trend. How often have you seen a bloke on a bike and he look absolutely ridiculous on it?

675 UPDATE.......

Its still instantly recognisable as the Triumph 675,even with the mods. The exhausts were NEVER in the DUCATI-MV AGUSTA sexy mode,so i'd say this is a good mod for this bike, however, judging by the pre-pro pics,it looks ore like a pea shooter,,,piddling. What they need is a nice stainless mega cone shape to the silencer with a bit of growl(albeit within noise law of course. The mirrors,i'm sure they're there just as a prerequisite,to say the bike has some. As someone earlier mentioned bikes seem to be getting smaller, well,i've sat on a 675 and i found it the tallest of the 600's(not a small bike) combined with being narrow and having a PLANK of wood with a bit of coated foam for a seat...bloody eck as like..not comfy. The triple 800 engine would be a good idea for a sports bike, maybe there could be a NEW RACE SERIES start up around it if enough people badger the major manufacturers. No doubt though, when this bike arrives,so will the price...probably by another £500-700!!!:upset:

i am sure

it is very nicely put together and sorted, but we all want to see a triple 1050 to take on the NIPS and WOPS, come on Triumph the 1050 Daytona is an absolute must. the original Daytona 955 was legendary DO IT DO IT DO IT.
