Triumph

If it was that easy they would repair it themselves and sell it for full price.

It's stated as a trade sale

maybe he's decided that carrying out the work is not viable (or do-able) by him and would rather let someone else take the hit on it and flog it through the trade instead.

They may get parts at trade prices, but the labour still has to be covered as well, and however well repaired, the bike will inevitably be worth far less than an undamaged example.

It's not unknown , certainly for cars anyway, to be advertised for sale by a trader at a given price, then some time later be sold through the trade (because it hasn't been bought by Joe Public) to end up with another trader, and sell at a higher price than it was originally. Presumably similar deals will be happening with bike traders too?

rates will be £15 an hour to the technician from the boss not £50 to the customer.

Youles

won't sell a bike they know to have been crashed.

Also, the reserve could be silly money. Its only not registered cat c or d because its third party - I bet.
