Whats the best bike you've owned

What's the best bike you have ever owned. Why was or is it your favorite and how long have/did you own it.

Just curious to see which is the most common bike people choose.

Under-rated bike

I had a 1997 Triumph 955i back in the day, and it was excellent in terms of looks/design and build quality. Rode well and very trustworthy. Very under-rated.

However my current 1989 Ducati 851 is my fave bike. It gives me my nostalgia fix, being 22 years old and is as fast as I dare go on the roads these days.

More importantly, the worst piece of sheer crap I`ve had in the modern era was when I was at an auction and  bought a 10 month old ZX900r. Just the worst, hideous thing. Build quality? There was no quality. Corrosion, vibration, mass produced pap.
The good thing is I managed to do a swap with a Ducati 748, which changed my life in terms of bikes.
Had 4 Ducatis now and looking for another to restore.

Anyone got an old 1970`s  900ss bevel laid around?

That's a

clear win for GSXR's making them officially the bestest bike ever.. !!

Marcus could have swung a last minute sway in the 'blade' direction but misread the questiion as 'what are the 4 best bikes you have ever owned?' ...Which it was not!!

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

So there! :wink:

If I singled one out it would be like betraying the rest.  I had enough trouble keeping the list down to 4!!!

Best bike?

Well it's got to be the BMW R100R.

But then I've only owned 3 bikes.  I still have 2 of them and the other one was the Varadero 125cc I learnt on.:smile
