Yamaha FJR 1300 2001

Hi Dave

You seem to find the problem bikes don't yea:huh:i remember the ZZR 1100 still got it or did you move it on?

Just a thought, the person or shop you bought the bike off may no the whereabouts of the original shock?has it been lowered for a short arse?or a height impaired person. The thing is,its been done the wrong way around,it should have had a lowering kit consisting of two dog bones(as you call them)not a shorter shock. So if you manage to get dog bones to life the bike, then the shock will probably be totally wrong(to shorter stroke, spring rate wrong).Have the forks been dropped through the yokes to compensate for the lose of height at the rear?.You may think it handles good now,but you didn't ride it standard so how would you know?. You need to speak to someone at Maxtons and tell them what shock is in it now(or it length) to give them a chance to do the calculations to give you the lift you need. Good Luck
