Ducati st2 rear tyre

My Ducati ST2 has a 170/60/17 rear tyre fitted, lots of dealers on the internet are quoteing 180/55/17 tyres to fit the bike, anybody know if that size tyre is Ok on that rim?

I`ve seen 2 sizes in google but 170/60/17 on Brembo rims should be yours, the 180/55/17 is 10mm approx wider and the sidewall is 3mm less nearer the rim, have you room for 5mm approx each side? If it works out better all round get a statement/bill with your model on it just in case.

Duc St2 18-/55/17 rear tire

:smile   I used a Michelin Pilot Road 180/55 and it worked out fine-fits well and got good wear-changed

handling a bit and after 6000 miles it was done and
I went back to the Michelin but the 170/60 tire.

But it does fit and makes the bike a little different so
tell us what you found out.
