Fancy a giggle?

I decided to quote for a new busa.

£10K for the bike (current offer)

26 years old, been riding for quite a while with no claims.

Fully comp? £2000.
TPFT? No one would quote...

Think they don't want the business?

Think Chaucer would be the one to go for there. Must be covered for everything with that one or do you reckon you'll have to buy optional legal cover?

I looked at the Chaucer quote for insuring my bike..

...bought a house instead!

Can anyone beat their quote of £94,505.35, and how did they justify that last 35 pence?

I have

A BMW X-country 650cc. They didn't ask that though. I'm 26 and live in a bad area for insurance. It's cheaper to insure it in a "bad" area of Leeds where no one goes without a death wish.

Suppose it's because in those areas no one dares steal off each other and no outside burglars dare enter.

What was the 95 grand quote for?

What bike is it, that 95 grand is a quoted price?

i know a 17 year old who can insure a Lamborgini Diablo for less than that.

I think

judging by when my phone snapped the image, it was for son #2 insuring a new Speedfight 2, on his 16th birthday, all glorious liquid cooled (then 31mph restricted) 49cc of it!  One think is certain, I didn't go for it!

A few other search engines, such as MCNcompare, followed by a few phone calls to various insurers it highlighted, got his first year down to just about £400 if I remember rightly.  That would be a saving of £94,100 over Chaucer's quote...
