Has the law changed in France regarding the wearing of high visability jackets on motorcycles?

I heard a rumnour that it was to become compulsory in September.

Hi Vis vest

Hi Busterlung

I haven't heard anything about hi vis vest law being past. But there have been protests over proposals. I haven't been stopped so far. I live in the French alps so this could just be the local police not being uptodate buit with the exception of commuting around the M25 I have never warn a hi vis vest and not had any problems. Assuming that all car drivers are blind has done more to keep me shiny side up.
