WET/WINTER TYRES

Hi all. Soon I will be changing the rubber on 04 Hornet 600, its currently got mitchelin pilot roads which are OK, but I know there is much better out there. I have read that pilot road 3's are supposed to offer great grip in the wet which is what im after. But are there any other tyres that I should be looking at? my riding is a mixture of town commuting and fast road, not that ill be riding on fast roads much this time of the year :(

Just had

BT023's fitted on my Triple, they give the best wet weather grip i have ever had, and great confidence when cornering.

tyres

I used Avon Storms before. They were a road legal wet racing tyre. No matter how wet the roads were, I just rode as if it was dry.

But the rear was knackered after 1000 miles

Well, if he told you that many times, maybe you should listen to his advice!:wink::wink::wink:

TBH, the standard Qualifier is an older tyre, often found as an OE fitment as it's cheap. The Qualifier II is the aftermarket version and is pretty good but from what I've heard the latest crop of sports/tourer tyres are better.
