Visor up

ok so i just watched this video from the states and they are not allowed to ride with there visor up, Well today i was driving with mine up as it was a tad hot.

but this got me think if it was legal over here in the UK,

i seem to remember a stupid rule in the highway code that you DONT have to have any aye protection but if you do it HAS to be to a certain safety level.

so am i allowed to ride along with my visor up

I am not aware of any legislation that requires you to ride with your visor down in the UK.

Don't know

of any legislation that says you have to have it down.

I sometimes have it open 1 or 2 clicks - that way if there's fuel / cowshit / cut grass etc lying on the road, you can sometimes smell it before you come across it which allows you to anticipate likely risks: slippery surfaces, slow moving tractors, livestock etc round the next bend which is far preferable to an unplanned surprise.
Surprises on the road are almost always bad.

Hope that helps.

It's perfectly legal to rider with your visor up.

And I don't think his moped will reach neck ripping speeds :smile

I bow to the superior speed of your machine. I really wouldn't want to race you. You'd obviously blow me into the weeds. Although I don't ride a supersports bike. Maybe I need to fit the Nitrous to the BMW :lol::lol:

OOooo. The M1's a bit far. I don't ever normally ride further than my local Tesco. These BMWs aren't supposed to do long distances you know...:lol:
