Ditto from myself

saw it on TV, heart goes out to all concerned. From what I understand Rossi & Simoncelli were buddies so Rossi must be feeling truly awful. We've tickets for Valencia but not sure I want to go now, we'll see.

Very sad.

Have to say that looked pretty much instantaneous, nothing Edwards or Rossi could have done to avoid him.You have to wonder what effect this will have on Rossi as he and Marco were close friends.

The last time I saw a riders helmet taken off in a crash was when Wayne Gardner tore off Franco Uncinis helmet in a horrific accident at Assen in 1982.Somehow Uncini survived.

Condolences to all involved

I had recorded the race, but heard about the fatality before I watched the race.  Felt sick when did watch it and saw it happen.

Great character - very sad loss

Safety improvements

I have been watching the Senna dvd. I remember watching the race when he crashed.

But that seemed to be the turning point in F1, two drivers were killed in the same weekend. There have been big changes to formula 1 in the interest of safety.

As with most motor sports they are very dangerous and the riders know the risks involved, but are there any changes that can be made to improve safety for the riders of motorcycle racing.

What do you think?
