speed cameras

Just recieved the dreaded notice to prosecute, and see that they are supposed to inform you within 14 days of the offence, which they haven't. The date of the offence is 10th october and the letter is dated 25th october which I recieved today (26th october) .

Worth a challenge do you think?

NIP

Hmm....yes, on the face of it it seems as if you have a case. The NIP must be served within 14 days of the offence, as I understand it. You weren't stopped and charged at the time of the offence, I presume?

Try asking on the pepipoo forum - they have much more knowledge of this than I do.

Legal Issue Over Motoring Offence

Looks like you are wrongfully harassed by them. You should put them to task.

Relax

One day outside the requirement.

Strictly they've lost, on the basis that they were a day too late.

Personally, I would listen to the previous post, as he says he is a lawyer.

I'm only studing a degree in Motorsport Engineering.

are you?

the registered keeper of the vehicle you were alleged to have committed the offence in?

if not then the 14 day rule goes out the window.

if you are the RK and your details are correct on the V5 then it would seem they have been a little slow
