this definetly looks like yamaha have started a trend  here and its called lets stop ripping of the punters(well at least lets stop ripping them of as much as we were doing)heres hoping the chain continues through more manufacturers so the prices come down in every shop

The one bike I'd have and it's not reduced... I'd have had the old Duke but not so much a fan of this one. The price cut does suggest it's been designed to be cheaper hence the lack of funk.

Looks like one reason for the big price chop on the 990 SMR is they've gone back to the standard cast-alloy Marchesini wheels, instead of the lighter forged-alloy ones on the outgoing model.  I think they'll sell a lot more at this price even without the fancy wheels.
