New rossi replica helmet

AGV have brought out another Rossi rep, it's the one with his eye painted on the top:

AGV launch new Rossi replica motorcycle helmet

I think it's pretty cool but i'm not sure about £500 for an AGV! Does anyone rate the GP Tech model?

It`ll be Ok.

I`m sure AGV`s top of the range hats are just fine. Because they also make budget helmets doesn`t mean they can`t do good`uns as well. Rossi seems to have no doubts about the quality.

Also look at Airoh, Nolan and X-lites they make quality hats for the MotoGP boys and pricey ones for the road as well as cheap stuff.
If its the name you`re after, then get an Arai or a Bell, but I wouldn`t be scared of a good AGV myself.

Barry Sheene used one for long enough as well!!

fair point

I'm sure it will be good quality, think i tried an AGV on a couple of years ago and couldn't get a very good fit, no matter what size i tried, most likely its just my odd shaped head!

If i was going for a Rossi rep i'd probably get a more traditional sun and moon one or something

Don't discount cheap lids

No pun intended...The Box BX-1 for example is on ebay for about £43.00 and got a 4 star SHARP rating, my fairly high end for Duchinni D409 was only about £80 and has a fully integrated visor, removable pads, chin skirt etc.

Mine is a 4 star as well, better than some of the £300 plus lids that score dismally at 1 or 2 stars, notable Schuberth and Caberg from memory.
