Vote for the most exciting new super scooter

Next year will see new super scooters hit the market which are likely to tempt motorcyclists like never before. We want to know which one you think will be best. There’s Aprilia’s 76bhp SRV850, Honda’s semi-automatic Integra and BMW’s C650 GT and C600 Sport. Not to mention Yamaha’s heavily revised, excellent handling 530cc T-Max. Which one are you most excited...

Super scooter?

What is a 'super scooter'? Surely those 2 words don't go together? But, saying that, the styling of the Aprilia is pretty good actually.

Integra

I have hopes that the DCT Honda Integra will not suffer from the relatively poor acceleration and fuel economy that CVT equipped scooters exhibit compared to motorcycles of similar weight and power (at the crank).

MyChoice...

I have to say the BMW600 psort looks and will go fairly frutiy ?

The pic of the tmx is not the most flattering MCN.....but the TMAX would be second choice.

As for the honda, no thanks, i dont care what DCT it has. Looks like a sporty granny chair in my opinion.

Favourite? Excited?

Sorry, are we on about scooters? :D

That's like asking who your favourite dictator is, or which tax questionnaire is the most exciting... ;)

None

Speaking as someone who rides a scooter, I'm not even remotely interested in any of them.

They will cost more than a car and are less practical than a car.

For what a scooter is really all about, 300-400cc is plenty.

Starting at the top,

SRV 850: bored out restyled and rebadged Gilera GP 800.

The Gilera looks much better but didn't sell at all well in the UK, because it just isn't what scooter users want.

Honda Integra: poor rear design, lacks decent internal storage, has chain final drive, DCT box overcomplicated and unecessary, CVT far better. Will not sell, isn't what maxi-scooterists want and isn't what bikers want. DN-01 all over again?

BMW C650GT: stories abound that engine built by Kymco, outrageously expensive, already on sale on the continent for £9300

BMW C600 Sport: lacks decent onboard storage, engine also built by Kymco? poor design of rear, also overpriced

In my opinion what the UK scooter market really needs are scooters like the Honda Faze 250 or even a 300cc version of the S-Wing.

Maybe even a 200cc PCX...?
