Hutchy in BSB with Hill at Swan Yamaha

Ian Hutchinson’s fightback from career-threatening leg injuries has been rewarded with a superbike ride in the title-winning Swan Yamaha team, alongside defending champion Tommy Hill. Hutchinson had been plotting his comeback with the team in the British Supersport ranks for 2012, but after his brilliant comeback third place at Macau team boss Shaun Muir has promoted him to the BSB ranks....

Padgetts?

Anyone know why he didn't go with Padgetts? He was well set up with them, and clive padgett said there was a seat for him after he got injured. What will he do come TT time? The R1 has been uncompetetitive at the island since it's launch, so I can't see him riding that. Will he be allowed to ride another bike for that, and the other big road races?

I'll second that rusek81

Carlos....Cadwell is awesome. The elevation changes are unbelievable. The campsite has a great atmosphere too (if not the best facilities, still better than Donington!), and it's only a short hop from Hull!

RobTZ, I've got Oulton on next year's list coz I've not yet been :D

Can't wait for the 2012 season...!! #excitedalready

Mickdel....

Sorry, can't put the link in but if you read Shaun Muir's interview on the BSB website, he says the team's main aim for 2012 was to defend the BSB title and win a TT so I presume Hutchy will be on a Swan Yamaha @ IoM

Good luck to them too!!

"We were then looking at our options for a second rider. Our goals as a team and for Yamaha are to win the BSB title and win at the Isle of Man TT. We reviewed our options carefully and I have been impressed with Ian Hutchinson, not only his race craft but also his ability to work with the team and his determination to return from injury. He has spent a lot of time in the garage with us this year and his recent performance at the Macau Grand Prix proved he is over his injury now. Hutchy will be with the team for two seasons (2012 and 2013) and we are committed to him; I really want to turn him into the complete racer that can win in both disciplines."

thanks Wak

I'll check that out. He'll need a lot of luck if he is trying to take an r1 round the island. It just didn't perform on the roads at all compared to the conventional crank r1, which is still an awesome machine.

Rusek and Wak

THNX guys, i really apreciate this. If Nori is still riding WSBK i will vissit Monza. Saw him take the double on the Santander R1 some years back on an all Max nr3 stand. They let me hang my japanese 41 flag in between their Max coreografia as they call it. Great weekend that was. If Nori doesn't get a ride i will go to the UK for a BSB round for sure. There is an amazing foto of Johny Rea on a HM Plant Bsb bike flying in the air? That must be Cadwell??  Johnny Rea is great, every free practice of every WSBK race i have been always#65/4 is always the first 1 out. He just loves racing. If my countrymen at ten Kate get the Blade(ride by wire)sorted Rea can take the title!

What Happened this week?

Might we have reasonably expected some news on this esteemed (?) site about the fact that Hutchy has broken THAT leg again. Maybe its not reported here coz all the so-called-journalists from MCN have been on the piss all week ? Any other suggestions ?
