horn or indicator

I must confess the amount of times I've gone to put the indicator on and beeped instead.

It always makes me laugh when riding with others and they do it.

The reason I ask is that on the riding skills forum someone said they only hear the horn during an MOT

Is it just me or are there other pilchards out there too?

Horn

I very rarely use mine, unless we are on a massive rideout with the Spanish mob, when everyone is beeping about (a bit like on a toy run).

But then, my horn did sound like a wet fart, until santa just bought me a new one.

horn

It was I who said that I only hear my horn at the MOT,

maybe your switch cluster needs turning a bit or you have 5 fingered gloves meaning your thumb only goes half way in and the excess is flicking your horn.

Thanks Jaffa

It's so bloody annoying when I do it, but hilarious when someone else does it.

It didn't happen at all on my 600rr but hapens a lot on my ZXR400.

I think it maybe a combination of both, I'll go and have a butchers.

Horn or indicator....

I have been known to give an errant motorist a very nasty indicatoring when I've gone for the horn button.Quite a few times on different bikes.

haha

I'm always hitting the horn instead of the indicators, or more recently on the bandit 650 I hit the hazards instead.

In my defence I am very small and only have baby hands, so I can't actually flip my indicator from right to left without looking (If I'm holding the clutch in, ready to pull away, for example):ph43r:

when did bikes get fitted with hazards ? as my gs it  has a button for the left  and a button for right and a button for off. so it was harder to get use to it as my one i use to have did not have any flasher fitted.
