Bike is a Sinnis Max II.  only a month old.  its under warranty.  but dealer is 15 miles away.


Is the chain something i can tighten up myself, bearing in mind i dont know a damn thing about motorbikes

Definitely something you can do yourself. Check the correct amount of free-play from you manual first (normally about 2-5cm). Loosen off both retaining nuts from each side of the swingarm and then tighten each nut on either side equally. Lots of good youtube videos on the subject.

Easy to do and will save lots of money by not getting the dealership to do a 5min job. Good luck.

It`s chain free play which you should have,as teamwinsor says what`s the free play stated in your manual ?Also it should describe how to lubricate it and when,also how to adjust it.

What`s the freeplay,mileage,first 500mile service due?
