Club Insurance

Hi All, first post from me.
I ride in a motorcycle club with about 30 members, we meet once a month socially, and rideout every Sunday. We have BMF associate insurance cover.
My questions are do we need insurance? Should we be riding out as a club or as a group of freinds with no club affiliation?
When would the club have a claim against it where other wise an individuals insurance would cover an incident?
Is there an alternative insurance product other than the BMF scheme?
Thanks in advance fro any advice

As long as you have motorcycle insurance then its completely legal.

what you could do is offer the custom of the entire group to an insurance company in exchange for a discount.

You'd only need insurance if you were hosting an event (off road race for example) or if you were teaching.
