George White

:upset:Hi, I purchased a new Yamaha XJ6S in 2010 from George White, Swindon.

The deal was 4 years warranty, 2 years from Yamaha, 3rd and 4th years arranged by George White. It also included 3 years free servicing (6000,12000,18000 Miles)

The two years Yamaha warranty is up in September this year, and I have had one of my free services (6000 Miles) With George White going bust in January this year, no web site, phone not answered, and no info from anyone concered with George White, where do I stand, and what can I do?

Anything underwritten by the manufacturer should be OK.  You may even find that your extended warranty is OK as most dealers 'buy' these from an insurance company.  Check your documentation and see if that is the case for yours.  As for your servicing, unfortunately, it is likely that arrangement died with George White's.

Did you buy

your bike/ deal with cash or with a finance deal.

If cash, you will probably just be classed as a creditor and would need to put in a claim with the administrators but would, most likely, not be expected to receive anything back.

If it was a finance deal, check out the link Jaffa has put on and look at the George White Service Plan thread as someone has been able to get a refund on theirs.
