Casey Stoner quickest as storm disrupts first day in Sepang

Casey Stoner topped the timesheets on a rain disrupted opening day of MotoGP testing at the Sepang circuit in Malaysia. The reigning MotoGP world champion needed only three laps in baking hot conditions this morning to move to the top of the leaderboard and he ended with a best lap of 2.01.761s to finish ahead of Repsol Honda team-mate Dani Pedrosa. But...

No doubts who would be top in the test Casey is from a different planet when it comes to two wheels. Disappointed the test got cut short due to the rain.

Still another couple of days to go Elbowz. We won't really know how things stand until the track cleans up and the times drop. However, Stoner is clearly the best out there in low grip conditions (refer Indy 2011).  Also, I sense the 2011 Ducati excuse book is getting dusted off as we speak.

Looks like Stoner is setting the precedent for the rest of the year. Well done to him I say. I can't wait for the season proper to start. It should be quite entertaining to listen to the constant diatribe from the blinkered 46 brigade in coming months. The stream of moaning and ranting from that small group of moronic Rossi fans making constant lame excuses about about how Stoner only ever won because he was on the best bike... Or he had an advantage on the Ducati... Or how he can't develop a bike... Or he always moans... Blah Blah Blah. History has proven that anyone on the same hardware cannot touch him. FACT! That's his job and he excels at it - more than anyone else on two wheels on this planet at this time. Roll on April!

Stoner and lorenzo

Just shows how confident these guys are in their machines and skills if they don't need to bother going back on track due to poor conditions. Stoner again seems to be able to get out of the blocks amazingly fast and post a great time. I hope the weather improves so all riders get a chance to set up and improve their machines.

Track sweeping day

Not much for any of them to gather from today. Although the order is as any realist would expect.

Nostro - there is not much hope of finding too many realist's here. Apparently, Rossi is the best rider out there and Stoner is nasty, bad man that took advantage of poor Ducati. Don't forget that any results that are not positive for Rossi don't count. Therefore, as any MCN realist will tell you, these laptimes indicate how well VR is developing the GP12 (after all, he is the greatest developer of motorcycles in history) and that Stoner should be getting worried.

True enough DB

Case in point Hardlylean below you describing himself to a tee.

You bash them for a while until they slink away questioning the validity of their sad little lives, half the time only to resurface gopher like under a new profile spiting the same pointless bile. Strange little critters.
