Triumph street triple 675

Hi guys,

I am new to 'big' bikes and have recently acquired a street triple. It has 3500 miles to it and is on the original rubber. Is it time to change tyres and would pilot road 3's be suitable?

Many thanks

The Road 2's in my opinion are a better tyre. The profile on the Road 3's seems flatter and slows down the steering.

Thanks Fuzzrr

Now at the risk of being mocked for my lack of knowledge, should I buy the tyre online and then find a place to fit them or just ask the shop that is fitting what tyre to buy in?

just phone the shop and get them to order them in.. you might find the tyres a little cheaper on the internet but you then have to get your bike and the tyres to the fitter... ballache!

BT023's option

I had ST 675 from new and changed the OE fit BT-016's after 5k miles due to rear puncture. As I commute and on motorway a fair while, I had BT023's fitted - longer life and good wet grip and seem to be recommended by most in Triumph Street triple forums.

FWIW, I'm currently running Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa's. Iv'e done ~4500 miles and they have been excellent. But Roadsmarts/Pilot roads will be better in rain.
