Yamaha not worried by Casey Stoner’s testing dominance

Yamaha has said the impressive speed shown by reigning MotoGP world champion Casey Stoner in winter testing is not an early cause for concern ahead of the start of the 2012 campaign in Qatar next month. The Australian has ended both 2012 test sessions at the Sepang circuit in Malaysia with the fastest time, despite his worries about a persistent chatter...

real jobs, wosi

I knew things got bad in the UK during the Thatcher era, but did she really abolish sick leave for anyone employed in England?

I have also observed over several decades that participants in motorsport quite often don't race for extended periods when injured/disabled. Is there some provision of which I am unaware that participants in motogp have to be disabled by maladies which are considered significant by rossi fans to be unable to race?

But.... it was diagnosed??

"The doctors have finally gotten to the bottom of Casey Stoner's mysterious illness during the past few weeks. After undergoing some further tests in the United States last week, it has emerged that the 2007 MotoGP champion suffers from a slight gastritis and mild anaemia."

and

"Stoner worked with Clinica Mobile and the Fremont Surgery Center in assessing his condition, and the doctors have declared that Stoner is suffering from slight gastritis and mild anaemia."

There's shiteloads on the OOOOLD topic. Why the fuck argue over something which is fact?? He was crook. He got better. He won races again.

4 years - typo. God only knows the retarded ones wouldn't see that as a mistake. Speaking of mistakes, what the fuck were Ducati thinking when they hired Rossi? HAHA my sides are hurting. Wosi you try and portray yourself as this working class person but you really just use the internet to take out your frustrations on people who you can't see. Wimp? 'I found my dad dead on the sofa(OD on the alcohol eh)'. Shut your moaning up and look for some sympathy elsewhere. Stoner is in your head so much its probably gone past the stage of funny. Why don't you talk about Rossi and the dream match up between himself and Ducati.. The italian dream team? PA! This sport for tough guys? So why is Rossi whinging 'I refuse to take risks like Stoner'.. In the words of Chris Tucker 'that aint no dog.. Its a bitch'. Now run along and vent your little temper on your wife, there's a good little doggy.

doggy needs therapy. woof.

Did you say it was when you were 14 yes? No wonder you grew up(I use the term loosely) to be quite the spazfuck. Funny how you don't talk about bikes in general anymore, just Stoner. Gotta feel sorry for you. If only Stoner stayed at Ducati to make himself look more 'mediocre' eh? Twat. Hahahahahaha my sides are hurting(that's meant to get a reaction right)

I'd read that diagnositic progression as being gastritus, mild aneamia and fatigue caused by the finally diagnosed lactose intolerance. But yes, he should have been tougher... just installed some tear offs inside his helmet to get rid of the vomIt and kept riding. Riders shouldn't be allowed to take time off for anything but mechanical injuries, because if we can't see it then it ain't really there.

(Doohanfan - just a clarification. The modelling is used to apply well understood science to attempt to simulate how the myriad of factors interplay - even after the fact it'd be impossible to get the parameters exactly correct and so ultimately someone could point to them being wrong in some way no matter how well they fine tune them. But the underlying science is basically indisputable.)

Come on Wosi

Still waiting to hear your opinion on a more current issue - why the best bike on the grid was only responsible for getting Honda 1st place in the championship, not 1, 2, 3, 4.

If it was the RCV Lorenzo couldn't beat, not the rider, that's how 2011 should have ended

I'm no quack

I actually am a "quack" wosidog, which is largely irrelevant, talk being cheap on the internet, and if arguments of mine do not hold water (so to speak) they should be dismissed the same as those of anyone else, as should yours on this particular issue  imo.

Just for my interest, why do think they invented gatorade and the like (apart from commercial reasons)? Or as an exaggeration to make my point, what do you think the cause of death is in victims of cholera? Embarassment perhaps?

I presume you would also argue for concussed riders to continue riding if no neurological signs can be elicited by an orthopaedic surgeon, or for marquez to have kept riding with double vision.

global warming

I was not saying I disbelieve it, just that I don't have the expertise to fully understand the science, which makes me fairly sure the journalists who dismiss it don't either.
