Alvaro Bautista looking to tap into Honda potential

The Spaniard, who launched the new look San Carlo Gresini Honda earlier this week, says he is still adapting to the RC213V 1000cc machine after spending his MotoGP career on...

It was great that Alvaro gave us a few surprises on the Suzuki and I really hope he can gel with this new set up and mix it with the second tier on a regular basis. Go Go Alvaro!!!

Benny...

He finished in front of factory machinery 4 times in the 10 races he finished as the soul Suzuki rider on the grid... in one race he finished 4 places ahead of the nearest factory Ducati & 6 places ahead of a factory Honda... that's gotta be worth something.

I DUNNO....

As i was 8 month`s out with my prediction about Ducati going bust, after Rossi signed,I`m not sure about AB,I mean,if my theory is correct,CS will be WC again by April ! Maybe that is right? Oh well,I`ll still watch it though, and see who`s second.

Benny.......

I was referring to "For all the Suzuki has been worth" for the last 4 years.......(not much) Avaro gave it some stick and stuck his neck out for quite obviously little reward. Now with the Gresini gig he is being rewarded a bit. I don't reckon he will ever be the full ticket just like his 250 days, cool dude but never gonna be champ as he was too erratic.

And what exactly am I waiting for foregiveness for??? I don't recall pissing you off? So give us a clue as like many an MCN forum follower I don't have one! ;)

IMO if Honda had given him the kit what Simoncelli was using he could have been doing what Sete was during his time at the Gresini team challenging at the front.

I think, that if Honda were to give Alvaro a full factory spec bike, he could potentially challenge Pedrosa and replace him at Repsol next season. He may beat Dani on occasion without the factory bike, but he wont get near Stoner.

All fine and dandy. but unfortunately Marquez's is already on the Repsol seat in 2013. Bye bye Pedrosa......

Pornstar isn't there a rule which states rookies can't take a works ride straight away agree if Bautista impresses on the Gresini he could be a replacement for Pedrosa next season.

INDEED,

There Is such a rule, mind you they could change it "at a moment`s notice",wouldn`t be the 1st time. But as it stand`s MM will be in a sattelite team, just like Simo was,but on a full factory effort, same as.

Nearly good enough

Mr Bautista is yet another rider who is almost good enough. He will fare no better on the Honda than he did on the Suzuki. He will continue to fall off a lot - have the odd good qualifying sesssion, finish 4th now and again - but mainly pack the lower top ten placings.

Still, MCN has to write about something in the off-season and someone has to finish 10th as there would be no show otherwise.

I would be delighted if he were to prove me entirely wrong - but I don't think he will.
