Poll: Will Rossi win again with Ducati?

Ducati's yoyo fortunes continue, with a disappointing sixth fastest for Rossi at the latest Jerez test, but trust in the Desmosedici's front end on the grow, according to Rossi. So if you had to bet a year's salary on it now,  how would you place it? Tell us your thoughts on how you think the Rossi saga's going to end below....

I'VE TOLD YA!!!

ducati would be bancrupt. that's why the want to sell it to audi. why? cause if marlboro pull out from sponsorship, buddy, only shit left for ducati. even they cann't afford to pay rossi's advertising franchise.

and don't forget, all goodies goes to rossi's pocket. so where do you think ducati going to get the money? YES. just sell the company, and everybody happy for shareholder. for rossi?? of course he would going to retire.

now he push ezpelata to rule 1 single machine. does he wants to ride honda/yamaha machine with that little scheme??? who knows. it's only his dream. keep dreaming.

I reckon there's a very good chance he'll win other races - especially if he rides for more than a couple more years.  I reckon he could even do it on the Ducati if the circumstances align and they get the bike further sorted.  I doubt he'll win another title though.  If he somehow managed another factory Honda or Yam ride then there'd be a much better chance but I still think Stoner and Lorenzo still have much better odds and he's unlikely to get that ride anyway.

Stoner and Lorenzo have a lot more self confidence now with the extra few years under their belts.  This is something Rossi must have lost a little of.  He's had the perfect career to build enormous self belief but in the last few years he's got some real and consistant competition, had his first bad injury and after all that time finally has to try and win on a bike not as good as the rest (something other riders often have to build up to - it took Stoner something like 9 years to get that ride).  I don't think his age impacts his skill level - perhaps his drive  is impacted though- especially when he loves being the total centre of attention and now has to be that not as a racer but just as a media darling away from the podium.

The Duc isn't the Rossi's Main problem. It doesn't matter what machine you put him on he's just not as fast as Stoner or Lorenzo. Yes I think he will win again but like many have said on here already it will be a lucky win and he will have to be really on it that day. No disprespect to the guy he's just got to the point in his career when he can nolonger keep the young guns at bay. All that said he's still one of the best battlers on the grid so I guess we'll have to see how much fight he's got left in him

Rossi needs a dose of Doohan

Rossi can win a race again, even on this years Ducati if they keep it going forward (seems to have stalled for the moment)

Rossi is still young, he has only ever broken his leg, so he is not a walking disaster area like Mick Doohan.

To win another championship will take, obviously, a bike that will run at the front, a team that will help keep it there and a fire in his belly as big as Mick Doohan had.

Doohan won all of his championships in his 30's and was a walking disaster zone, remember he was the guy who got the rear bake moved up to a left thumb lever since his right foot would not move properly anymore, and he kept racing and winning championships.

So VR should get MD in for some helmet slapping, in your face mental coaching while Ducati shove some more coals into the furnace.

The day after taxation is scrapped on fuel,{ and we go back to gallon`s }, and VAT is confined to the scrap heap. Oh and I win the Euro lottery,{ after a 6 week rollover }, yes that will be the day Rossi win`s a m`cycle race again.Personally,  I can`t wait !

1 bad year and he's finished eh? What utter bollocks.

Rossi vs Lorenzo on the same bike, Rossi beat Lorenzo, anyone remember the lesson at Catalunya??

If Rossi and Stoner were both on RCV's, Rossi would beat him over a season.

And if the Ducati was so good in 2010 that Casey "could" win races, why did he leave? (after picking half a tonne of gravel out of his ass...)

Rossi, old yes, finished? Are you watching the same guy? Who wants a £10 that says Rossi podiums within 5 races?

... what about on Ducati's?

Fact is Stoner beat him fair & square many, many times on a Ducati (13 times on the CF Ducati) when Rossi was on what JL called the best bike at the time (winning more races than Rossi during those 4 years)... then JL beat him too.

... & no-one's gonna take that bet... at his current pace all he needs is 2 or 3 top riders to come a cropper & he's in with a chance of a podium... albeit some 24 secs adrift of the leader (assuming it's not the leader who's come a cropper). If he's not competing for a podium in his 1st 5 races he's in for some serious soul searching!

You omitted the other season. I can't think why

If Rossi and Stoner were both on RCV's, Rossi would beat him over a season.

Probably if Vale was in his prime and Stoner was a young upstart but not at their respective ages.

Way too many scenarios. Keep your money in your piggy bank bud
