I didn't call you a fanboy - I just stated that is who gives Rossi all the credit. But if the shoe fits by all means wear it. Just because Edwards wasn't winning races doesn't mean he didn't have a hand in development. Development is more about being about to set consistent laps and being about to evaluate changes and give engineers proper feedback of the difference of those changes. It has nothing to do with race results. But on the other hand let's not act like Edwards wasn't bagging podiums and finishing well withing the top 10 at Yamaha either. And that's with being handicapped by Rossi - you do know that Rossi teammates weren't able to have equal kit on race day right? That's from Edwards himself. Just ask Jorge.

But what's funny about you post (both of them) is that you say "If you listen to comments from others on here" - that's your problem right there. You are listening to other "posters". Do you not do your own research and/or listen to the people who are actually involve with racing? Because I've read from Burgess, Rossi, Yamaha, Honda, Michelin, Bridgestone, etc how fabulous Edwards is at testing and development. But you listen to posters. lol.

And let's get to the subject of "crap" Michelins. Once again, you know nothing and show it. The problem with Michelin was the change in the rules - they were no longer allowed to supply over night specials. Bridgestone for years were used to making tires months in advanced and had the proper techniques in place while Michelin were used to evaluating tires on Friday and shipping tires out to the race. Essentially 2008 was a new year for them and they were not giving a proper chance to adjust to the current regulations before they were basically kicked out. It had nothing to do with Edwards. But I guess you never read that from another poster - now you have. You admit that you don't know about testing back then and you also admit that you get you information from other posters. So obviously you don't know shit so give everyone that does know a little something some courtesy and just shut the fuck up about things you admit you know nothing about.

However, in your anxiety to prove someone a forum idiot with no knowledge, you simply overlooked that all I was doing was playing a bit of devil's advocate. No I don't believe everything I read on a forum. The reference to other posts on subjects was the inference that if you believe what is written, not that every word is true. And I'm well aware of what a development role is thanks. Again, it was just a bit of baiting due to previous forum comments, particularly about the Ducati's performance, of how the Ducati test riders can't develop the bike because they can't ride fast enough - not my view, just one of the views aired during the many discussions around the previous ban on riders testing. As you will no doubt know, Yamaha test riders helped Furusawa develop the M1 into the excellent bike it was long before his highness sat on it.

Yes I'm well aware of Rossi's demands on the equipment given to team mates and every other demand to ensure he enjoys superiority in every aspect. That and his overly large ego are the main reasons I don't like him. He doesn't like fair racing on a level platform.

My question as to how good a development rider Edwards actually is, was simple enough wasn't it? A genuine question as to how you evaluate their status in that role. If you 'know', all you had to do Mr Macho, was say so, but you prefer to take the agressive approach and put some forum numpty in their place. Maybe best to start your own forum where you can be forum jury and confine the members to you and a few intellectuals and enjoy uninterrupted knowledgeable conversation with guests on your own level.

As for doing my own research - what do you think this is, a university course with an honour at the end of the season..? it's an internet forum which ultimately has no bearing on absolutely anything. I have better things to do with my life than spend it trawling the internet to ingratiate myself with the likes of you.

As for what Rossi and Burgess say, aren't these the same two that laid into Stoner, said he didn't work hard enough, couldn't develop, didn't ride the Ducati hard enough and that they could fix it in 80 seconds.  Well I guess that everything you read that they say must be true then...

As suggested before, stay off whatever juice you're on and take a chill pill.
