Ducati boss: Valentino Rossi highly motivated for 2012

Valentino Rossi remains motivated and determined to transform Ducati’s fortunes in MotoGP, despite conceding he’s little chance to start the new 1000cc era in Qatar on Sunday night with a rostrum. Ducati boss Vittoriano Guareschi says Rossi’s motivation remains high, despite a tough pre-season testing campaign for the nine-times world champion. A radical new GP12 with twin spar aluminium frame aimed at...

So you give a speech on how being either 'Pro Rossi' or 'Anti Rossi' is pretty childish and pathetic...

You then go on to be about as 'Pro Rossi' as can possibly be.

The logic of anyone wearing yellow PJ's never gets old, but as always, is comical. Cheers for the laughs.

look how the ticket sales plummeted when he broke his leg, and then recovered when he came back. Whatever a bastard he might be backstage, he is a true entertainer, and he clearly loves to race, and fans love him for it, sorry guys, they do.

So 'fans' buy tickets when he's there but the same 'fans' don't when he's not. So i can only guess that many are Rossi fans as apposed to MotoGp/racing fans?

Moves to Ducati, can’t get on with the bike, and may be past his peak anyway, who knows? Is he better than the rivals? - not right now. If on the same bike – who knows?

The difference between Vale/Nicky and Stoner/Nicky kinda makes that point don't you think?

Look, Rossi is the most successful rider 2000-2010, not only that, he’s a character who raised the profile of MotoGP above the normal level of this sport;

Selective 'date picking'? Vales not 'the best' between 2007-11 (fact.....not a blinkered opinion). Vale raised the profile of the sport so much that we now only have 2 Japanese factories (one is unable to find a decent sponsor!!!) and a grid full of streetbikes. Rossi's achievements are fantastic but let's not get tooooo carried away eh  :winkie:

Enjoy your other site and let 'us kids' have our fun.

One is unable to find a decent sponsor its hard to attract them and the other the factory has to like it.

FilterKing troll

So you come on here, post one comment which gives an opinion and therefore warrants a response, but then self-righteously declare that you're too intellectual for this site and smugly retire to watch the inbreds scrapping over your comments.

Little, if any, difference to trolling.

As for motomatters and grown up debate - Wosideg comments on there you know...

Right I'm up for a fight

Just knocked back a nice strong bloody mary and feel in a pugilistic mood.

So let's start with a little 2012 conjecture.

The finishing order of which is pretty much pre ordained already. 1,2,3 Stoner, Lorenzo and Pedrosa - although Pedro may be relegated a place or two as ship to shore ear pieces are not legal in MotoGP as I understand.

4th is all Spies'.

Positions 5,6,7 should be scrapped over between Dovi, Crutchlow and Bautista.

8,9,10 will be Bradl and the two factory Ducati's. Although Rossi has every chance of raising himself to the former group swapping places with either,or both, the smiling Spaniard (who will continue to throw it away when looking good) or Crutchlow who loses his pre season euphoria. Hayden is a clear 10th to me.

Then Randy and the rest of the CRT's.

The juicy part, once the season is done and dusted, is who goes where. Most of which hinges on Rossi. Does he finish the season on a high or low? Low means goodbye MotoGP hello WSBK or retirement. High means he stays put. Hayden will finally be cast aside to scrounge around for a CRT or WSBK ride. Ducati will make a play for Spies and Pedro.

Spies in a mirror image of 2010 Rossi, being unable to see a way past Lorenzo, takes a punt on Ducati. Backing himself as adaptable enough to take advantage of the Ducati's strengths rather than moan about their weaknesses. Pedrosa buys another year with Repsol and HRC - but only 2013. If Rossi also jumps then Ducati take a punt on a youngster. Petrucci, Redding or Bradl. The silly can't move to a factory team straight up rule will hopefully be dropped.

With Spies to Ducati. Yamaha have a void to fill. Best bet Bradl. Although there's alway the possibility of Pedrosa moving factories to make way for Marquez at HRC / Repsol.

Suzuki and Kawasaki being the splineless industrial giants they are will continue as they did 2012. Watching their market share plummet in a direct correlation to their shrivelled corporate plums.

What will be interesting is whether Aprilia take their road bike engine ART / CRT and redesign it to MotoGP prototype spec and re-enter the series proper, rather than their very clever back door way currently employed.

Right glass empty. Time for a refill.
