Qatar MotoGP: Marquez victorious in Moto2

Spaniard Marc Marquez completed a stunning return to Moto2 by taking victory in the opening race of 2012, despite having only been declared fit to race three weeks before the opening round. Is that a wife swapping reference? I'd say she weighs more than M.Marquez even with just a gimp mask on.

It's highly unlikely you'll get an accurate weight reading for Marquez anywhere (I bet you checked his website) unless you hang out in parc ferme for a living and happen to be the scales operator or his mate. He will be somewhere around 10kg+s to the good which is significant in a class with a weight limit of 140kgs for the bike and everyone uses the same engine.

He's dangerous and you think that it's ok because he's Spanish and they pay for everything. At any point where you feel like you disagree with what you've said feel free to explain. Ideally with facts.

Marquez isn't dangerous,it's racing end of.What i don't like is that he will always get preferential treatment.Last season he was getting special parts 3 races before the other riders & extra testing time.Moto 2 started off as a level playing field, but now as Marquez is 'The Chosen One' of Dorna & the Spanish federation that has all ended. He has been groomed for the top since he started & when he wins the M2 title this season,& he will,he won't be struggling for a ride in M1,his place will be assured in a full works Honda team,be it a sattelite set up or Repsol. What Dorna wants,Dorna gets,if they had their way there would be nothing but Spanish riders occupying every top works bike seat, which, apart from that pesky Stoner chap,is what we have now.

He`s not the `Chosen One`...he`s just a great talent!.You seem surprised that a Spanish company would want to back their own riders...the likes of Lorenzo,Pedrosa + Marquez have got their rides on merit..they`ll be cheered on by the biggest crowd by far in Jerez next week, the passion for GP racing in Spain makes the British GP look like a club race
