Qatar MotoGP: Arm pump halts Casey Stoner’s victory bid

Casey Stoner’s hopes of a fifth victory in six years in the season’s opening MotoGP race in Qatar were thwarted by a severe right arm pump issue that dropped the Australian back into third spot. The Repsol Honda looked in complete control of the 22-lap race at the floodlit Losail International Circuit when he suddenly dropped his pace with five laps...

stoner

if you could of been arsed to do some race simulations in the tests, instead a couple of flyings laps, you would not of had arm pump, lets hope it costs you the championship.

Leecho, you're a muppet. You've been taking your frustrations out on Stoner ever since Rossi joined Ducati. Acanada just kissing arse as usual.. 3rd? Better than 10th...

ist race

Oh come on.... its the first race, give the guy a chance. How un sportsman like, hoping someone looses the championship, already. Leecho, suggest you let things sort themselves out, its a long season, and plenty of other good riders coming on strong. Who knows perhaps Cal Crutchlow, could get a few rostrums.

Gloves? Arm pump? Chatter?

But hey I'm proud because I'm still the fastest guy out there. . . Hmmmm?? It did look like stoner was in control up front for most of the race, but you have to bring it home. Sounds like alot of excuses to me. ( according to most only Rossi makes those?)this might teach stoner a lesson in race craft, saving your tyres etc? Maybe not. A good start to the season for some, although spies, and Rossi got the worst of it!!! What happened to spies??

Whatever the excuse, having to make one at his best track ain't a good start, no wonder he alluded to a fix for it that was not invasive and a secret. I bet it went when he got into the motorhome.. All joking aside that is a very bad loss for casey and honda at a track they probably had already penciled th eresult in as did many others... on here....

And which stoner fan said?

Casey just keeps his mouth shut and gets on with the job?

Maybe he did have arm pump but it is hard to believe that was the only problem.Everybody knew the new tyres were likely to go off later in the race and most riders allowed for it but the way Stoner was riding its hardly surprising he was sliding everywhere.

However we will find out how true it is because the way he is speaking he seems to think he can just ride away from everone else.I think Lorenzo has him beaten already!

Arm pump/tyres?

A few points dropped. Nothing that can't be sorted either way.

Roll on Jerez.

'Anyone but Stoner'

Why is it the Rossi fanatics like Lorenzo this much? Don't get me wrong, i have a ton of respect for Lorenzo also, but this is the guy who literally forced Rossi out of Yamaha. Just with the mindset of a 46 fanboy it is truly hard to understand their brain function, but that just brings it back to the old 'anyone but Stoner' attitude. Carry on.

'Him or me' ..... 'Okay, him'
