Poll: Will Cal Crutchlow get on the podium this year?

Tech 3 Yamaha rider Cal Crutchlow equalled his best ever MotoGP result at Qatar last weekend with a fourth placed finish behind Casey Stoner. The Coventry rider impressed during winter testing and qualified on the front row for the 2012 season opener. Can he go further? Vote in the polls below and let us know your thoughts in the comments section....

with help,,

Podium - Only if 2 riders DNF

Win - Only if 4 Riders DNF

,,ain't his fault, Sat bikes don't win anymore, and that's the way the factories want it. And every race widens the gap from factory to Sat,, the pecking order is real.  But in the Tech 3 balttle, I'm wagering on Cal.

& off topic

It reminds me of the absurdity of anyone (trolling Journos) thinking that VR will ever land a Sat Yamaha seat, First, Yamaha doesn't want him (interfering with their  presant and future #1 rider), AND, VR could never accept (another) second tier, non-factory, non "gimie new parts", machine mechanically incapable of outright winning. Absurd!

Bit early to Cal.

Got to be in with a chance of a podium, his performance was no fluke. Qualification and race results were solid.
A win hmmm.... a wet race maybe or at a circuit that is really hard on tires. Basically if the bikes are more evenly matched.
I don't doubt that Stoner & Lorenzo are exceptional riders but it would be interesting to see how much of their success stems from being on superior machinery to other riders.  VR isn't getting anywhere since his move to Ducati and he was at their level before.
