Cool

Hi Old(ish),

I always knew my bike was cool.  I'm glad you agree.:smile

I can't, however, read the article as the images are too small.  Is there anything that can be done to post the article bigger?

Thanks for that pre-unit....

I think Id have to go for one of them W650's if  I was given the choice. Those front wheels, are they special rims, or are they just fitting over sized tyres onto the original rim? R100R , there was another article in the MCN this week about an English bloke who was doing older BMW specials, but at sensible prices (£5,000/5,500 mark)Blitz are Paris based French blokes.....p.s.buy the paper,it's got 60 years of Suzuki in it too.

Can't see.................

Can't see an R100R anywhere on the web page?

They do seem to like putting Honda tanks on Yamaha SR500's thought!

Customised bikes on the cheap?

Ride safe,

Shad.

52 Black Shadow...

it was the 'other' specials builder who was doing solely older flat twin BMW's and selling them at reasonable prices...I don't know what the French bikes were, but they were doing friends bikes initially (for free) but they just got too busy,so have gone into it full time.....It's all there in the 'new look' paper.:smile

Hi Oldish

Cafe racers aren't really my thing, but the R80 with the silver tank in preunits link is nice to look at.

I know there was an English bloke selling restored airheads on E-bay in about that price range.  They weren't specials though, he had just restored them to a shiny and original state.

In all honesty I would baulk at spending more than 2k for an airhead now, whatever it's condition.  A couple of years ago I was looking at R100GSs and the decent ones were going for about 3.5K which I thought was too much for an old bike.
