Out this weekend - Applecross trip

Yesterday morning Gordon, Ally and myself met up at Spoons ahead of a 220 mile trip to a remote village which would see us take in a section of road which boasts the greatest ascent of any road climb in Britain.

1 Usual meeting place

2 First stop at Tyndrum for lunch.

3 Fuel stop under the shadow of Ben Nevis

Basically the whole

journey up was dry and bright, although a wee bit on the cool side.

There was a brief spell near Invergarry when it started to rain, and then the rain turned to snow  Fortunately a few miles further on when we stopped for fuel it was dry and bright again.

Kam

It must be the photography because I'd say that most of the grime was acquired yesterday!

Kawa

I've only ever been to Applecross once before and that was in the car, so this was a bit of an adventure :smile

The only downside was the lower temps and all the bloody salt on the road!

Aye,

Goldie got a hose down and wash earlier this evening. But even after a fairly thorough cleaning I was still finding bits that looked dirty... There's only so much time you can spend on it before the call of beer takes over :winkie:
