Leather Jacket sizing

Afternoon all, I had a crash last thursday which has meant my kit needs replacing so I decided to go for a leather jacket this time instead of textiles, from the same manufacturer. I assumed the sizing would be the same but the jacket seems tight but liveable, the length however concerns me. It is a good few inches shorter than my textile jacket was and will only go an inch or so below my jeans waist (just when I was trying on, when riding it will be zipped to the accompanying trousers.) Is this normal or should I have bought a size up?

Thanks in advance

Sound like your previous

textile jacket was a touring style jacket, ie longer in the body, most leather jackets come in a sport cut ie shorter in the body so 1" below jean waist level sounds right.

The leather will give over time and as long as it's not "too small"  it'll shape it's self to your body and become super comfy.:smile

So sport fit :-

Touring fit :-

Hit the nail on the head

My textile was touring and that makes sense for the jacket, thanks :smile

And please, my jacket isn't half as flashy as that alpine stars example :winkie:
