Why the Audi headline? Audi is part of Volkswagen group. You may as well have headlined it "Seat Agree to Buy Ducati". Or indeed Bentley, Lamborghini, Skoda or any of the other companies that are part of the group. Actually given VW Group's liking for badge engineering how long will it be before we see Ducatis with slightly different bodies wearing different badges?

Good News

I think this is a very positive step for Ducati and at last give them a stable finacial position so that they can concentrate on doing what they do best make bikes. I was horrified when VAG took over Lamborghini but they have gone from strength to strength and have not stiffled the companies ideas or ruining their identity. This marriage has allowed Laborghini to develop their projects and iron out the quirks that let down their products.

Lets hope the same thing happens with Ducati and they get the developement and research backing and money that they need to develop their product range.

The VAG group companies SEAT, Skoda etc have all prospered so not its VAg groups time to challange BMW and their bikes. Bring it on I say...
