Name the new Norton V4 Racer

Stuart Garner and the engineers at Norton have been so focused on getting their new V4 racer built to compete at the Isle of Man TT (See the April 18 issue of MCN), that they met our question - 'What are you going to call it?' - with blank looks. They haven't thought of a name for it. So here's your...

Norton V4 Racer

Congratulations to Norton for what will be a welcome return to the IOM TT. Given the resurgence of this great British manufacturer, thanks to a dedicated team and owner, perhaps it could be called the NORTON PHOENIX.

Half Aprilia, half Norton?.........That would make it an "Apron" all frills but nothing special? A Norton is only truly a Norton if it has a Norton engine!?

how about the...

parts bin racer, or the

rear shocks going to get cooked by the exhaust after half a lap racer.

I actually wish them the  best of luck but I think it could do with a bit more Norton heritage in the design somehow before you can really call it a Norton, any engineering firm could've created this. where is the brand.

Norton Ego Trip?

Norton Waiting list?

It is at least SIXTY YEARS since Norton won a GP.  If Mr G insists on spending his efforst on a doomed MGP project instead of building up his core business - selling "classic styled" boutique bikes to middle aged blokes like me,  there is NO NEED WHATSOEVER to lay it all on the line for this "dream".

Love the Commando - but the Web tells me there are still delivery problems. Sort these - this should be your priority.
