We've all seen top quality "factory" Hondas breaking down at the TT, so there is every chance that the bike won't make it round 6 laps.If it doesn't break down and has an experienced TT pilot on board, then i'm sure that it has every chance of a podium. We've all seen Biaggis RSV4 go in a straight line, and there's a few straights to tackle on the island...maybe we might see a full factory engine supplied (if the price is right of course)

Do "Norton" own the spondon group now anyway? So technically the chassis is sort of built in house. I say good luck, and i'll be following you!

Will it finish

Will it finish? I hope so .To all you anoraks out there. What about if Bimota were at the TT you wouldnt be trying to demoralise them.....or would you? I have an Aprilia race bike with a rotax engine in it and when it won at Daytona it was and still is an Aprilia! Hats off to the blokes at Norton having a go. i will be there watching with pride and  What will you miserable sods say if it beats other RSVs in the senior, get a life!

Don't believe the hype

Paul Bird would have enough patience to work with Norton for about the same time it took you to read this. It would have been better if Norton had kept quiet about this, and just turned up and got on with it.
Mr Garner, if you are reading this, stop listeneing to MCN. Spend your time making good bikes or getting good results if you are going racing. People admire those that try well and try again if they fail. Not those that talk everything up before doing it. You don't need the publicity at the moment as you can't complete the orders for bikes currently anyway. Build it up first in the press and fail and the companies/your reputation bites the dust.
Picture the scene. In a land far far away (from MCN) Norton turn up at the TT, out of the blue, with this bike and say they are just having some fun and learning from it. Get an average result, lots of publicity from the surprise appearance and sell a few t-shirts. Then next year say they are doing the same, but wheel out a Norton engined bike once on the Island. Then the year after a Norton engined bike and a top rider?
MCN have been running the same top secret, exclusive, spy shots, leaked images on the front pages for years now - change the record. I'm worried the next thing they suggest you do is to take a red settee everywhere with you for photo opportunities. And you believe it.

norton tt bike

The norton tt bike should finish the tt its got an aprilia engine, but what bothers me its not got a norton engine.Ithink the team a norton a doing a great job bringing the norton name back to life, but why the rush to get back to the tt.They should take there time and produce their own engine instead of using an aprilia engine i know the editor of this great paper said you have a mc claren car with a merc engine but i cant see honda using a suzuki engine so why cant they just wait until they have their own engine to make the bike a true norton!

Biaggi used 26 engines for 28 races last year, and he wasn't raggin' the arse out of them flat out in top gear for 5 minutes at a time. Will it last? Who cares, coz it's an italian engine anyway. Nice to see an Norton back at the Island though, reminds me of Hizzy. He did ok on one there I seem to remember.....! Good luck to them I say.

Norton V4

So the Norton name comes back to the TT,is this a proving ground for the bike before they make an assault on the moto gp stage in the CRT class as it has the Aprillia engine and spondon frame? Now that would be nice.
