Charity tour

Hi guys, great site and congrats on raising over 10k so far for what seems a fantastic cause. With regards to advise on laws for specific countries i use the RAC or AA website as a guide; http://www.rac.co.uk/driving-abroad/

How long do you think this trip will take you?

hi thanks , we have allowed 3 weeks but that will allow for a 24hr stop in the middle to rest up , should be quite an experience.

Serbia

Looked at going through Serbia in 2009. My insurance company (Carole Nash) wouldn't provide cover. I was advised that you could buy insurance at the border.

If not staying in a hotel I was told you had to report to the local Police within 24hrs but this may have changed.

Also tick borne encephalitis is endemic in parts of the Balkans if camping.

Afer all thast I decided to give Serbia a miss altogether. I met a pair of Dutch cyclists in Romania who recommended it highly, said the people were very friendly, so I probably missed out.

Good luck with your trip
