hi there i have just bought a dt125 and for some reason i cant get the gears to work. i step down for 1st as i knock up for second it just goes back to neutral and i cant think why could any 1 help please:upset:

lever was bent, it sounds like it may have been decked on that side - not exactly rare with 125s, but the linkage arm may also be bent / damaged.

Will it click into 2nd if you go from neutral (avoiding 1st)?

1 down, 5 up (assuming you have six gears, I'm not familiar with your bike).

From neutral, click the lever straight up and see if it will select 2nd (but don't force it if its resistant to go).

The gear lever SHOULD spring back to the original position. It doesn't stay in place like a car gear lever.I take it you've not ridden a geared bike before???

Sounds ok to me. Make sure it's in neutral before you go to start it.... the green light should be on.
