Road Tax comparison

Ive just purchased a Z1000sx after exchanging my Tiger 1050, what I can't get my head round is that when the log book came through as most people do I read all details to make sure its correct and noticed that the CO2 out put was an extremely low 0.064ish now comparing that to my car which is 1.6tdci 0.90 WHICH comes into the lower road tax bracket of £20 a year. So why does the bike road tax cost nearly £80? the bike does less miles causes less damage to the raod and produces lower emissions

Bear in mind

that big bikes can pump out over 50 times as much bad stuff like carbon monoxide and the other toxic gases than cars do. And I am pretty sure bike tax is purely down to engine size whereas new cars is done for emissions.

Road tax

This government does not like bikers, more so on big engine bikes.

Having a 1000cc bike is like having 5000cc car with top road tax.

Emissions is mostly monitered on tickover but as said with Lil125Guy a diesel car will rev at 3,000rpm at 80mph while a big bike does 5/6000rpm at 80mph kicking out more CO2s.
