best ever

As a guitaraist myself I had many heros when I was younger, totally subjective as everyones tastes vary but my top ones are Gary Moore. Steve Vai, Angus Young, and try looking up Tommy Emmanuel from Oz on youtube, incredible what he can do and on an acoustic as well

I have to agree, David Gilmour is a wizard on a guitar. I saw Pink Floyd live at Earls Court on the Division Bell tour n it blew me away!  No other live band has come remotely close. I never get bored of listening to them n got almost everything they ever released. Wish they were still a whole band RIP Rick Wright.:upset:

well for what it's worth

Angus Young, my all time fave, Tony Iommi for sheer determination after losing his fingers, Gary Moore he was living with my cousin (stood next to him at my uncles funeral) oh what a name dropper I am.

I also think Slash is over rated
