Yamaha DT 125 year?model?could it be DTR125R?

Hi Mancgeorge and welcome to the site:smile

If you are posting again try putting down as much info on your bike as possible,it makes a difference to a diagnoses

As your bike is a two stroke it only has gearbox oil,any good grade two stroke oil will do in the auto lube tank, try not mixing full synthetic with mineral oils, sometimes it can cause a problem.

The gear oil recommended by Yamaha is 10w 40

Good Luck

DT125

When I had my DT125 (and 2 TZR125s) I used Silkolene comp 2 in the 2 stroke tank and Castrol GTX in the gearbox.

I NEVER had any clutch problems, although I now only ever use BIKE oil.

Keep the engine standard and stay away from cheap go faster mods. Unless you want to learn about top end rebuilds (they are very easy though):biggrin:
