Estoril MotoGP: Stoner leads dry second practice

Casey Stoner tops the times from Friday free practice at Estoril. The dry second practice session of the day allowed the Australian Repsol Honda rider to post a time of 1:38.396. Yamaha's Ben Spies was second quickest, after heading the times in the damp morning session. Britain's Cal Crutchlow was third fastest by just .025 seconds, and lapped faster than the...

Nob Heads

Just watching live qualifying. Cal is on a flying lap, the nob heads at Eurosport are showing Stoner sat in the paddock, they then switch to boring Ben Spies setting out, meanwhile, Cal is still on a flier. The 2 muppets who are commentating dont know whats going on? Thank God BBC show the main race live. Nob Heads

He sure is putting in the performance of a number 3, world class and consistent racer isn't he Benny. Looks like Dovi can't hack it Benny haha! Moto 2 is calling and if his lucky he might get a WSBK ride for 2013!

Dawdlers

The track was full of 'em and Spies seems to have had more than his share of numpties to deal with, Mattia Pasini being one. You've got to feel for CEIII, completely innocent and unaware of a relatively innocuous crash by RdP and just in the wrong place at the wrong time. It must be getting close to that time when he decides it ain't worth it anymore.

The super slo-mo at the beginning of qually of Casey Stoner steering the front with the rear out of the last turn was as great as Yonny Hernandez's monster moment just before the red flag. Does anyone know what the weather is doing tomorrow at Estoril? If it rains I think a freak result is on the cards.

Benny is rattled

Is the Dovi punt looking a bit shaky? Cal has the bit between his teeth while Dovi is either a: trying to ride it like a Honda (makes sense) or b: unable to compensate for the difference between the RCV/M1. Perhaps he's just too HRC. While Cal has got Herve watching his back Dovi might continue to struggle unless he does " a Rossi", oh hang on, even Rossi can't do that, I meant, turns it around and finds his mojo.

'Over the edge'?

He'd be off then. 'On the edge' is where he's at bud. 'Nowhere near the edge' is where . . . . . . . . . . .

Jamie............................I wish Col would go home, be with his family, play some golf and kick back. It's painful watching this.
