Police Helicopters....

I popped up to my local haunt today, when i pulled up and removed my lid i noticed the helicopter up above.Which then got me thinking,if the helicopter clocked me speeding do i just get a ticket threw the post or do they radio to the police on the ground and get them to give me a ticket.Today i saw 2 marked police bikes, one Busa and the Volvo.:ph43r::ph43r:

well

speeding tixets are usually in the post anyway, speed cameras and that.

Though, Helicopters don't have radar guns of any sort on them I don't think, they can't measure your speed. So unless you were maxing it you shouldn't have any bother.

Besides, the police don't scramble their chopper lightly, presumably they were busy doing something else, or on the phone to dominoes.

:D

As far as I know

the helicopters don't actually measure your speed (indeed, I don't think it actually has that capability anyhow).

It'll be used mostly to guide the crews on the ground to a situation.

think the heli

can measure your speed, but not calibrated like traffic cars, therefore not admissable evidence...however they will set you up a little 'rendervouz' with their land cousins if you are being very larey........i'm sure someone on here a year or two ago posted a vid of a helicopter 'pulling over' speeding bikers in Nth.Wales !!
