Cal Crutchlow: Stoner is in another league

British rider Cal Crutchlow believes it will be tough for Jorge Lorenzo and Dani Pedrosa to wrestle the MotoGP title away from Casey Stoner in 2012 based on the reigning world champion's recent victories in Jerez and Estoril. The Monster Yamaha Tech 3 Team rider reckons the Aussie is ‘in another league at the minute’ after Stoner triumphed with a brilliant...

Honda is the best bike by someway whether you like it or not.. last year all 3 repsol riders scored wellover a 100 points more than they did the year before and some(Casey, Dovi) a lot more than that... You still have to ride it but only a fucking moron would try and make out it's not that good. Enjoy it for what it is Casey, Dani and Honda know how good it is and certainly are. It's a great bike(reminiscent of the (RCV211V probably better) and I'm pleased to watch and listen to it... Only a small selection of fans think it's a turd and there are no prizes for guessing who's fans they are... All part of the hype..

what planet do you live on hugelean?

Honda the best bike? If stoner wasn't riding it Lorenzo would be 3/3 this year and yamaha would have 3 in the top 4 each race.

It's not even true that "all 3 repsol riders scored well over a 100 points more than they did the year before". Plus there is a pretty simple reason why Dovi got his extra 22 points.

Losing your grip on reality there son.

best bike

Yes, it was fortunate for stoner than he didn't have to beat himself on a ducati, and for dovi that he no longer had that necessity either. Dovi also had full access to stoner's set-up and telemetry, which he never had with dani.

Not much doubt that the honda was better than the ducati in 2011 and so far this year; I can extend the period over which this applied if you like. The relative quality of the honda and yamaha factory bikes is speculative, particularly this year.

Hugelean, throughout last year you constantly moaned about how many Honda's occupied the top 5. And yes, reguarly there was around 3 in the top 5. There were 4 Factory Honda's last year.

Why are you not applying the same logic this year? y'know, that if there is a majority of a manafacturer in the top 5, then that is the best bike.

You know yourself Honda is not the best bike this year(yet), you're just looking for yet more excuses for why Stoner is able to win races. That is seriously sad. If Spies had pulled his finger out from the start this year, there would most likely be 4 Yamaha's in the top 6 of every race. Jeeez if it was 4 Honda's in the top 6, you'd have a field day with it. Haven't seen many riders from Yamaha complaining about severe chatter, have you?

Quit your blooody moaning, and toddle along with your little doctor hat.

It's hilarious how these 46er fanboys are constantly trying to find an angle to discredit Stoner!

And below we have the rantings of stoner and his fanboys in a nutshell. Have been carping on about Rossi having the best of everything when he wins for but when it comes to casey he has to have the worst bike just they they can say oh look what casey did and look he did it on the worst bike.. Are you guys for real.??? Every single person who follows the sport except casey and his fans think the honda is the best bike and it is, and there is nothing wrong with that.. It's ok to have the best package and be winning, only having it and losing is bad.. I certainly hope Rossi ends up with the best package.. That's what it's all about.. You've been spouting that shyte for so long about Rossi you've forgotten you made it up in the first place..ha ha ha...

I will conceed that case is in another league when it comes to talking horseshit though(his fans too) he has that one wrapped up.. Rossi 30 secs infront on the next duke, Jorge 13 secs infront of the next yamaha casey 3 secs in front of the next honda.. Says it all.. The honda supremely easy to go fast on.. The rest not so much. Rossi has already beaten casey record from 2010, in that he's finished(that record too) infront of Nicky more times than casey did in the first few races..

Another thing is for certain

You're talking through your arse, Benny.

Capirex scored three wins in 2006, versus one (rather fortunate) win in 2007.  That's Ducati on the up?  And Stoner left them with an almost identical season to the one Capirossi had before he came.  He gave them one hell of a ride in between, though.

You're confusing the massive talent injection they had in 2007 with real progress.  In real terms, Ducati were on the slide before he came and have continued after he left (albeit at a faster rate).  It's easy to forget that Rossi beat Jorge at Le Mans last year, but is at very long odds to repeat it this year.

It's clear that you're hiding your Rossi fanboyism behind a faux appreciation of his acne-scarred compatriot.  On that note, acne scars have never been cool and neither have you, Benny boy.
