ENGINE RATTLE?

Hi folks, I recently posted about a rattle im getting from my engine. I was advised it was probably the cam chain tensioner so have got a new one fitted and now the rattle has returned, however, where it used to rattle when cold, its now fine when cold and rattles when warm. It comes from the right hand side of the bike and around the head/carb area. The sounds rises when I crack the throttle and just wind it on and its really annoying me. I have took it back to the chap that fitted my can chain tensioner (very experienced bike mechanic) and he said the engine sounds sweet but im concerned as it only started making this sound around 500 miles ago. Thought id try and get a few more opinoins, I know it would be difficult to diagnose without hearing but any adivce would be great.

Cheers.

Rattle

If an experienced machanic has said that the motor sounds OK,assuming that you trust him, then it probably is.  (Although I do appreciate how such noises can be annoying.)  I take it that you have checked for the obvious such as a loose bolt or fitting.  The other two things I would do would be to change the oil - particularly if this has not been done recently and have the carbs balanced.  Both of these will usually make an engine run quieter and smoother.
