Casey Stoner: “I've lost the passion for MotoGP”

Reigning world champion Casey Stoner will retire at the end of 2012, the Australian saying he’s lost his passion and love for racing at a time when the Repsol Honda rider is arguably at the peak of his career. Kleenex tissues

are set to offer Casey a big money sponsorship deal. A Kleenex spokesman said " we need someone who can not only endorse our product but also demonstrate it at the highest levels, and as we've never seen a bigger cry baby in all our lives we thought Casey would be the perfect candidate"

To all the detractors posting on here - two questions for you.

1. Have YOU ever won a Moto GP championship?

2. Do you really think he gives a shit about your opinion?

He has demonstrated his passion and skill at the very highest level and given us some truly inspired races. I, for one, hope he enjoys his retirement and life with his family. He has earned it. It takes a bigger man to admit he has had enough than to carry on being miserable. He's been racing since he was a teenager, so I think it's fair so say he's got nothing to prove.

Good luck to Casey, and thanks for all you've done for the sport.

With respect.

HH5 - Who is going to snap him up as a test rider?

The answer to that is no one. He doesn't like testing. In actual fact what does Casey Stoner like? We all know what he doesn't like:

Vague Front end feel

Randy De Puniet

People on the racing line

Arm Pump

Back pain

Close racing

Rule Changing

Current climate of Moto GP

Mystery Illnesses

No one listening to him including Honda

The fact the some people didn’t believe in his talent

Greek yogurt

parmesan cheese (if he has Spag Bol jeeez it must be boring)

cheddar cheese (no more cheese on toast)

blue cheese

 swiss cheese

cream (I wonder what he has with his treacle pudding)

cottage cheese

Vegetables that are Creamed, scalloped, mashed with milk or breaded/battered vegetables, packaged dried potato mixes, tomato and spaghetti sauce with milk (white sauce) or cheese (cheese sauce)

Dried savoury rice. Cheesy crackers, cheese thins, cheese oatcakes.

Eggs (Scotch eggs, quiche, scrambled or omelette)

breaded/battered/creamed fish, meat and poultry; luncheon meats; sausage; frankfurters;

some brands of egg substitutes and powdered eggs.

Pies and pates

When rossi complains about the bike its ok but when stoner does hes a winger. All riders complain about there bikes because casey is winning he can make it more public in the interviews after the race. He is complaining about a bike that is not right because it isn't right, nothing worse in any form of industry than a yes man who keeps his opinions to himself, if its not good say its not good. Rossi has complained more than any other rider this season but that's ok because its rossi. Casey want moto gp to be the best and its just boring now, i have more respect for stoner than any other rider at the moment.

But do they Benny?

Stoner's harped onto HRC constantly about chatter since he first tested the litre machine. To date they've done naught about it, because Stoner is still winning. This sounds like one of the reasons Stoner alluded too.

Corporate deaf ears sound all too familiar.....

It's a great shame that the most naturally gifted rider of this generation is givng up, and even more sad that one of the reasons is the class is turning into a boring spectacle.

Rossi was the "show" for so long, now he is not doing so well the lameness of the weak grid is even worse.

Great riders, cannot make up for not enough equal bikes and far too may big ego's that are not wearing leathers.

Lets enjoy watching Casey's last season, as no one can deny he is brutal on a motorcycle and whether you can admit it or not, we will all miss that.

And note to Dorna, note the events in Italy's TV rights for 2013, people are turning to SBK as they actually have some racing there. Time for some radical changes.

Final question. Would you let a boxing promoter make the rules up for a fight? Think about it.
