Le Mans MotoGP: Lorenzo takes victory and championship lead

2010 MotoGP champion Jorge Lorenzo has won the wet race at Le Mans by 9.9 seconds and taken the lead in the championship by eight points. Lorenzo got an excellent start to lead from flag to flag, consistently lapping faster than any of the riders behind him. Repsol Honda rider Casey Stoner took second place off the line, though he was unable to...

It was a good race by the front three and some excitement from the tech 3 boys. But it makes you think! If rain makes it a level playing field is that race the future sign of MotoGp ? Stoner gone ,Ducati still failing , Pedrosa wins 1 or 2 races a year Marquez on a privateer bike and still only 3 bike manufacturers in the

Love or hate'm  Stoner, Lorenzo and Rossi are the pinnacle riders of the sport Cal is ragged but learning and Dovi looks like he's been bought up by dingoes!!. Lets hope the Ducati improves or Rossi figures out how to ride it if not Lorenzo is going to be lonely at the front. I agree with alot of Stoner's points on his retirement hopefully Cararemelo Koala  pulls his head in before more talented riders quit .

SCORE= 19 TO 1........

So the Honda`s don`t generate the heat required to get the wet`s working,{ unless it`s scorchio },and then they just wheel-spin to destruction. The Ducati,on the other hand, have alway`s put heat into their tyre`s,which is why Stoner used to piss off and slaughter everyone in wet condition`s.  Mind you, he used to do it in the dry, more often than anyone else too.                                                                                                      So to finish on the podium again, must be most satisfying, when your going for a title again, these are the result`s you need.  It would seem the satty Yam`s tore their rear`s to shred`s as well, luckily we only get 2 or 3 "wet one`s" a year.                                                                                                                                      Stoner 16 point`s up on this time last season, look`s ominous for the rest, good chance of a record point`s total and win`s total, before he leave`s for pasture`s new.

Roll on Catalunya,.

OK sausage, if you're working on stats then it's 2-2 and Cal is still ahead of his more experienced team mate in the World Championship. That master class is doing wonders for Dovi, right?.  If his team mate wasn't under pressure (I was marginally leaning on cutting him a bit of slack) in which case he hasn't learned how to use his tyre management correctly for the conditions (or set-up)... Yeah right.. He made a mistake (like Cal did).  Hence why the vastly experienced Valentino took them all including Stoner with firm but fair overtakes (and suprised everyone)  Cal and his team mate are evenly matched at the momen and it's the racing we've all wanted to see for ages.  I like them both for their determination to outdo each other!  Was a good race, and hard lessons that will make them better riders,  Felt sorry for Hayden, he gets the award for tenacity.  As for Bens Pies, what is going on with that fella?

How very exciting...

All three races were brilliant!! Edge of the pants stuff!!

Lorenzo rode a perfik race and put in the moves at the beginning to break free... Stoner cooked his tyres trying to stay with him early on suffered later on... He still raced well to bring it home in third though!! Rossi battled through nicely from the off and after losing touch with Stoner while falling back behind Cal and Dovi he still had the balls and the skill to re-pass them both with precision and hunt down Stoner again who was in front by some distance.. Once he bridged that gap he then waited like the Rossi of old and stalked Stoner until he could put the move on... Once he did he left Stoner with nothing and then fucked off and left him... Great wet weather riding from them all but Rossi pips it for the ride of the day... Yeah I am a bit biased but you have to be blind to disagree with that, or just have 3358 in your name.. One of the two...

ha ha - There are some bitter fans around at the moment eh... Still, they will be gone at the end of the season... :)

Well said .

Just wait till cal gets his brakes upgraded to factory , then we will see.........

Cal did a cracking job on sunday , even with a under performing engine/lack of traction .

Its funny how certain people forget the crap theyve spoken. If you get caught up in the that the press preach, you fail to see what is actually going on out there with your own eyes.

Benny is right, without Cal and Dovi mixing it up at the front where would the action be?. Dovi is a class  act and has made the right decision by going to Yamaha. Cal whilst still having alot to learn is unfazed by anyone (and IMO might be suited to the Ducati with his agressive style) Factory seat should beckon for both of them if they can keep it up.

Spies? well like anyone whos visited Disneyworld and was promised a magical wonderland, you soon realised what a overhyped tacky piece of crap it is. Beating old men on a superbike is one thing becoming an alien is another.

Again my fellow MCN Freedom fighter made the point of what  effect did losing that last race of the season in the last corner have on Spies?

. As a ex (motocross) racer, there comes a point when something like that happens and it REALLY hits house your never going to be good enough. You know youve given your best ,but it wasnt good enough. When that happens its downhill from that moment on.

Cal is trying too hard. He's trying too hard to be 'top-dog' in Tech 3 (when he clearly isn't).

Cal - 45 points

Dovi - 44 points

Cal is currently top dog at Tech 3 - Fact
