Le Mans MotoGP: Valentino Rossi claims best Ducati result

Valentino Rossi came out on top of a captivating late battle with Honda rival Casey Stoner to secure second place and his best Ducati finish in yesterday’s rain-hit French Grand Prix at Le Mans. Capitalising on the Ducati’s competitiveness in wet conditions, the 33-year-old was challenging for the podium throughout the 28-lap race having earlier been locked in a thrilling duel...

Christ on a bike

anyone would think this is the second coming. So after 18 months, some ridiculous € salary, not to mention the amount of money Corse and the Marlboro man have had to throw at the bike, Rossi finally gets a legitimate podium. Well hella- fuggin- lujah. The messiah walks on water. Or was that just John the Baptist we saw, as the real deal Lorenzo was in complete control 10 seconds up the road.

Beware of false dawns and false idols little ones ( a number of whom seem to have re-emerged from under their prolonged hibernation rocks). Just remember what all those Jehovah witness cultists went through when they stood there in 1975 (and about a dozen times prior to that) waiting to be swept up to heaven in rapture. Yep having sold all their worldly posessions they were left destitute and confused. Just as you are objectively.

It's not really 'Standard' that Dovi M1

is it Benny?

Those big bastard fuck off factory brakes. Poor old Cal has to squeeze his stop lever for all it's worth, whilst Dovi merely needs a gentle caress to get the stopping done.

Then there's all those pre season rumours of Dovi getting satellite spec plus one.

No wonder Cal's aggrieved. Out riding and out scoring Dovi whilst couldn't care less Herve's blowing Gauloise smoke rings in his face coz he's got Smith's signature in his sky rocket.......

If you get the chance bud, could you post a list of riders that Vale has fallen out with and those that Stoner has fallen out with.

These would be the people that work 'together' week in/week out every year. A good guide to anyones true personality wouldn't you think?

Rossi breaks rivals mentally

Most notably Gibernau when he hexed him saying he won't win another race and the bad luck what followed if he did have the lead.

Your point is what? That they were examples of unquestionable skill in the wet?

Hey Screamer I think your fingers

just typed that back to front. Is this the same Rossi that said 'Honestly Stoner fucked us a bit with the way he rode the Ducati' 'I cannot ride the Ducati like Stoner' 'At the moment Stoner and Lorenzo are riding better than me'.

The man that had to run away from Yamaha least he be even more exposed by Lorenzo's exploits.

Mental games may have worked on Sete and Max. Not on Jorge and Casey. They have crushed Rossi mentally. His little rain dance yesterday is but an aberration in a very clear two year decline.
