Marvi, If your up this far the roads North of Glasgow are where you want to go. My advice is to keep going North, head for Oban or go round Loch Lomond, most roads North of Glasgow are awesome, it would be a shame to travel so far and miss out the best,,,,:smile

Couple of ways you may like to do it, either will be really enjoyable.

If you like it bumpy & twisty try either A689 (or B6277 as far as Alston) to  Alston -Brampton-Gretna  from there it’s probably easiest & quickest to jump onto the M74 for a quick ride to Glasgow then M8 to the A82 and once past Loch Lomond enjoy!

Can also recommend  A68 all the way past Jedburgh then peel off for Galashiels/Peebles then to Biggar-Lanark-Larkhall  on the A72 & A73 then again it’s a brief visit on the same motorway (M74)

Once past Glasgow the A87 (you can pop over to Skye for a cuppa & sticky bun) &  A93 Ballater to Breamar are a Must! A93 after Breamar is bloody goo too, just be careful when you get about 3 miles past Glenshee, the road style changes Hugely from a sweeping brisk one to a side to side, up & down rollercoaster!:ph43r: (Think A57 on acid!) Bloody good fun! Try popping to Applecross via Ballach na Ba (Pass of the Cattle) for the scenery & the ride too, off the A896 past Lochcarron

Could go on really. Pretty fair to say that once you’re Past Glasgow you can’t get a bad road, Have a Great time. When are you going? Hope this isn’t too late!
