No Tech 3 return for Ben Spies in 2013

Ben Spies won’t be making a move back to the Tech 3 Yamaha if Cal Crutchlow or Andrea Dovizioso land the Texan’s place in Yamaha’s official factory squad for 2013. With Jorge Lorenzo signed on a new two-year deal, Yamaha is now considering its options for the second rider in its factory team, with Spies still hotly-tipped to keep his place...

We can still

bail out all of Europe and then some. Why is Germany better than all the rest of European nations. The Brits pound continue to fall as their Prime Minister after Prime Minister fail to do well for Britain. Dunces don't do well with money afterall. Here's the list of failures, Margaret Thatcher, John Major, Tony Blair, Gordon Brown, David Cameron and the biggest thief is the dear ole Queen as she get money for doing nothing.

Queen Elizabeth’s Salary Cut to Mere $50 Million

You're not the only one sliding slowly into poverty: Due to new austerity measures, Queen Elizabeth II is taking a pay cut. Her salary, drawn from British taxpayer funds, will be limited to a mere $50 million this year.

The biggest joke for us Americans is the queen salary. What manufacturing job is she in charge of.

Look mate we have car parks with more history than your whole country. We have our own language that we have not just changed 2 words of and called our own . We also have cal on a satellite yam kicking all the yanks arses on factory machines. Friendly fire, have you had enough or do you want some more. The only thing you have invented was crystal meth and you can keep that. Oh and you probably know mote about our prime ministers than your own, by the way he is black, oh and don't Fuck with the queen and write to your own bike forum.

Oh my

Dear oh dear oh dear. Drivel being spouted again from all directions. Somewhere back in the depths of this thread someone quite rightly said something like "you're only as good as your last race" and that's the most truthful comment I've read here. What Ben or Cal or Nicky or Dovi did in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 or 2010 don't matter a sod. Being a 125, WSB, WSS or AMA Champion a few years ago will not influence the contract writers one bit, but what a rider has done in 2012 will. Did Stefan Bradl get his LCR ride on the back of his 2010 season? Doubt it. There's no nationalist agenda here, and those that come up with it in the course of these "discussions" are losing the argument so they play this card in desperation. If Ben loses his ride in 2013, it'll be because, in Yamaha's eyes, he didn't deliver in 2012 and his replacement will be viewed as a better prospect for team success. They've already signed their contender for the rider's world championship. The 2nd signing is to give them the best shot at the manufacturer's title, which is very important to them. Personally, I believe his place is under serious threat and he needs to dig some results out from somewhere as there's a queue forming for his ride.

perfect, well done sir. Good to know there is a sane person left in this rubble. When Lin Jarvis will be deciding who to place next to Jorge he wont be remembering Spiesus' AMA championships, WSBK or whatever. The question will be did he hold his own next to Jorge in 2012, which he quiet frankly failed spectacularly so far, given the best bike!

Clarification

I think it's important to make clear that World Championships, be they Moto GP, Moto 2 or 3, WSS or WSBK are serious titles and are not to be trivialised. Winning titles at that level got nearly all of the current crop of prototype riders into the Moto GP paddock in the first place, but those titles will not keep them there. Performing on a Moto GP bike is all that will keep you in a paddock long term. Exception to prove the rule? Mr. Pedrosa, but he does have the advantage of being a Spanish rider who gets paid with Repsol cheques, but, as we all know, there's a new Spanish kid who has found favour with Repsol, and he's Dani's biggest problem!

IF ONLY THAT WAS TRUE....

But it ain`t and never has been,{ only as good as your last race }, "if only".         If it was true, well how would anyone justify Nicky Hayden,Colin Edwards or Valentino Rossi still riding around in Moto GP ?  That`s right, there is no way ,and hasn`t been for a very long time.
